PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of a red mud-containing sulfur solidified body using sulfur slurry. SOLUTION: Melted sulfur is sprayed from an injection nozzle by a pressure conveyance air cylinder 13 to atomize the melted sulfur to≤500μm, and surfactant-containing water is sprayed from a spray nozzle by a diaphragm pump 16 to atomize the water to≤500μm. The atomized water droplets and sulfur droplets are brought into contact with each other, which solidifies the sulfur droplets to form the sulfur slurry in which sulfur particles are highly dispersed. Subsequently the sulfur slurry is transported to a red mud generating place, and the sulfur slurry is mixed with red mud at ordinary temperature or the red mud is uniformly mixed with reinforcing aggregate to obtain a mixture. After heating the mixture to evaporate moisture, sulfur is melted to obtain the sulfur solidified body. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
