The present invention provides a compound of formula I or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof wherein R<SUP>1 </SUP>is C<SUB>1-4</SUB>alkyl, optionally substituted with a fluoro atom, or R<SUP>1 </SUP>is a cyclopropyl or cyclopropylmethyl; and R<SUP>2 </SUP>is methyl or ethyl. These compounds are useful as antibacterial agents.
