PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adapter mounted detachably to an electronic device and that charges a battery. SOLUTION: The adapter 2 is detachably mounted to the electronic device, mounts the predetermined battery 4, and is provided with a power supplying terminal 24 for outputting a DC voltage. The power supply terminal 24 is connected to a connection terminal 15, disposed in the electronic device and outputs the DC voltage to the electronic device, in a state (B) with the adapter 2 being mounted to the electronic device, and is connected to a charging terminal, disposed in the battery and charges the battery, in a state (C) with the battery 4 being mounted to the adapter 2.
