<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bag device which has a surely opening function when the air bag is developed, and is equipped with a lid body which can be made at a low cost. <P>SOLUTION: This air bag device 1 has a case C having an open port 14 through which the air bag passes at the time of the development, an inflator 6 for gas generation which is attached in the case C, the air bag main body 2 which is housed in the case C, and the lid body 15 of which the end section on the windshield side is turnably pivoted and closes the open port 14. For the lid body 15, a fastening means 16 which keeps a closed state is provided on the end section on the passenger side. This air bag device is constituted in such a manner that when the air bag main body 2 is developed, the fastening of a fastening means 16 is released, and the air bag main body 2 may be guided to the passenger side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
