PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase player satisfaction by using game media themselves as means of presentation. SOLUTION: The game medium 10 has a light emitter 12 including a fluorescent or phosphorescent material in part or whole. A game apparatus (such as a slot machine 100) comprises a light projection means 150 (such as a black light) over an outlet 130. The light projection means 150 is provided with a light shield cover 160. The light projection means 150 radiates ultraviolet light to game media 10 ejected from the outlet 130 or game media 10 stored in a tray 140. The game media 10 themselves then emit light. If the light emitter 12 is a phosphorescent material, the game media 10 continue emitting light even after the ultraviolet radiation from the light projection means 150 is stopped.
