PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor for next generation using a blue system semiconductor laser of oscillation waveguide about 400 to 500 nm as a light source for exposure in order to realize super-high resolution which is heretofore impossible in the conventional electrophotographic system. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor includes a photoconductive layer on at least a conductive support, in which the light incident surface of the photoconductive layer of the electrophotographic photoreceptor is a layer containing a charge generating material and the semiconductor laser having the oscillation wavelength in a range of 400 to 500 nm is used as the light source for exposure.
