<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To bring about the speedup and power-saving of printing by switching between a current-carrying mode and a power-saving mode through the use of a more appropriate schedule. <P>SOLUTION: A weighted appearance ratio of each mode setting table is determined on the basis of selection condition information such as a day of the week and the number of computers in an operating state (S440); a relation point of each mode setting table is computed on the basis of the weighted appearance ratio, and the use condition information such as the day of the week and the number of the computers in the operating state on the day (S460); the mode setting table having the highest relation point is selected as a table for execution (S470-S520); and the switching between the current-carrying mode and the power-saving mode is performed based on the selected mode setting table. This enables the switching between the current-carrying mode and the power-saving mode to be performed by selecting the more appropriate mode setting table depending on a user's operation style, and enables the speedup and power-saving of the printing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
