<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized and low cost drive circuit incorporated type active matrix display device, having high operating margin, high reliability and a narrow frame. <P>SOLUTION: In a gate line drive circuit 12, all wires or the like, constituting a node A, are arranged on the outside of a sealing material 11. As a result, since the capacity value of the node A is smaller than the area covered with the sealing material 11, the potential variation of the node A due to the potential variation of a counter electrode 21 is small. Thus, reduction in the operating margin and reliability can be suppressed. In a configuration with a part of the node A being arranged on the outside of the seal material 11, as shown in Fig5(b), the capacity of the node A against the counter electrode 21 is increased only by an area covered with the sealing material 11, as compared with the constitution of Fig.5(a). However, if the influence on reduction in the operating margin and reliability of the circuit can be suppressed to a range that does not cause problems, L can be shortened, as compared with Fig.5(a).
