PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To take appropriate measures even in the event that extension applications become uncontrollable. SOLUTION: An application management device includes a basic application storage means 1 for storing basic applications 3<SB>1</SB>-3<SB>n</SB>for achieving basic functions; a basic application execution means 2 for reading the basic applications from the basic application storage means and executing them; an extension application acquisition/storage means 5 for acquiring and storing extension applications 7<SB>1</SB>-7<SB>m</SB>for achieving additional functions; an extension application execution means 6 for reading the extension applications from the extension application acquisition/storage means and executing them; and a resource supervising means 8 for supervising resources consumed by execution of the extension applications and for stopping the predetermined extension applications while keeping the basic applications in operation if the amount that the resources are used exceeds a predetermined value.
