PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress occurrence of an erasure area on a disk medium and to improve precision in positioning of a head in the case of recording servo data on the disk medium. SOLUTION: This method carries out servo write so that inclinationθ2 recorded in a servo area 100 may be smaller than inclinationθ1 of data recorded in a data area 110 on each data track in the range of e.g. an outer periphery on the disk medium.
