<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the power consumption of a transmitter which performs intermittent transmission (burst transmission) without disturbing communication of an adjacent channel. <P>SOLUTION: The transmitter starts ramp processing (302) in a period (start-up time 301 of a transmitting amplifier (amplification part)) wherein the gain 100 of the transmitting amplifier is unstable right after the transmitting amplifier beings to be supplied with electric power, and thus shorten the total start-up time 300 to shorten a period wherein the electric power is supplied to the transmitting amplifier. At this time, a ramp coefficient is calculated and generated while an influence of transient response of the transmitting amplifier is taken into consideration to realize ideal ramp characteristics, thereby suppressing the occurrence of an unnecessary frequency component of a transmitted signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
