PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a prosthetic joint stem which promotes early fixation to a bone and maintains effects of a medical agent or the like for a long period of time. SOLUTION: The prosthetic joint stem 1 is equipped with a main body part 4 having the shape of an outer surface substantially conforming to the shape of an inner surface of an insertion hole 3 bored in the bone 2, a hollow part 5 formed inside in the neighborhood of the end side of the main body part 4, an effect imparting means 6 which is disposed in the hollow part 5 and applies the medical agent 16 to the bone 2 on the inner surface of the insertion hole 3 making contact with at least on the main body part 4, and a neck part 7 which is provided on the proximal end side of the main body part 4 and is used to attach a spherical head part of a joint prosthesis, is inserted in the insertion hole 3 from the distal end side of the main body part 4, and is fixated to the bone 2 in a cementless manner.
