The Post amplifier section 104 includes: a dispersion compensation fiber 111 and an excitation light multiplexer 124a located at the post stage of the OADM 102; and an excitation light source 125a connected to the excitation light multiplexer 124a at the extension of the function of the optical transmission apparatus and for applying Raman amplification to the dispersion compensation fiber 111.
