PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PET bottle cap opener allowing a weak person such as an aged person or a child to easily open a cap. SOLUTION: The opener (10) includes a body (12) having an approximately semi-arcuate inner periphery (14) and a handle (16) attached to the body. A diameter of the inner periphery is formed to be substantially the same as a diameter of the cap to be opened. A protrusion (14a) slightly protruding inward is provided at one end of the inner periphery. The cap to be opened is fitted into the inner periphery, and the handle is rotated reversely from a position where the protrusion is located. Thus the opener is designed to open the cap.
