<p>The invention concerns a hand instrument for use in a dental unit, consisting of a hand piece (1 ), which has at least a working end (2) and a frame (3) made of metal or a corresponding material. One or more actuating elements transmitting operating power to the working end (2) are arranged inside the frame (3). The essential feature of the invention is that the hand piece is provided with a gripping surface softer than the material of the frame (3) and covering at least part of the outer surface of the frame, which gripping surface substantially consists of an elastomer and has, e.g., a ring-like or conical shape (4).</p> |
