The invention comprises compounds of the general formula <FORM:0828762/IV (b)/1> and their acid addition and quaternary ammonium salts (wherein R and R1 each represent a hydrogen or halogen atom, a lower-alkyl, lower-alkoxy or lower-alkylmercapto radical, and -N=B is a tertiary amino radical), and the preparation thereof by dehydrating a compound of the general formula <FORM:0828762/IV (b)/2> The qualification "lower" means that the group in question contains from one to six carbon atoms. Compounds of the general formula IV are made by hydrolysing the intermediate complex produced by reacting a compound of the general formula <FORM:0828762/IV (b)/3> with a compound of the general formula R11O6H4MgX (wherein X is a bromine, chlorine or idoine atom). Compounds of the general formula III are made by reacting a compound of the general formula <FORM:0828762/IV (b)/4> with formaldehyde and a secondary amine HN=B. Compounds of the general formula II are made by a Friedel-Crafts reaction between a phenacetyl chloride ClCOCH2C6H4R1, and benzene or a derivative thereof RC6H5. |
