An agent and composition for the prevention of and treatments for vasospasm accompanying a bypass operation, which each contains as an active ingredient either a compound represented by the general formula (I) or an acid addition salt or hydrate thereof. (In the formula, R 1 represents hydrogen or hydroxy). The agent and composition for the prevention of and treatments for vasospasm accompanying a bypass operation is effective in the prevention of or treatments for vasospasm accompanying a bypass operation.
