A plasma display panel is provided to prevent deterioration of a discharge characteristic thereof by forming each of discharge cells with a triangular shape and suppressing color mixture of phosphors. A plasma display panel includes red, green and blue discharge cells(503,504,505) which are defined by barrier ribs. The red, green and blue discharge cells are arranged in a diagonal direction on a plasma display panel. The red, green and blue discharge cells are formed with a plurality of triangular sub-discharge cells adjacent to each other. Each of the red, green and blue discharge cells is formed with a shape of parallelogram.
