PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for selecting an optimum wireless LAN access point among a plurality of wireless LAN access points existing in the perimeter of a vehicle during traveling. SOLUTION: A wireless LAN apparatus first searches an RSSI of a beacon broadcast from access points (S401), generates an RSSI list of the wireless LAN access points existing in the perimeter of a present position of its own vehicle (S402), and particularizes available access points at a present point of time. Then the wireless LAN apparatus reads a perimeter access point list (S403) and filters the wireless LAN access points in the perimeter access point list by using the RSSI list (S404). Then the wireless LAN apparatus selects wireless LAN access points with profiles in the perimeter access point list having been filtered (S405) and tries network connection to the access points (S406).
