摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for production of a porous fired body capable of sufficiently exerting the photocatalyst-decomposition function of titanium oxide, of exerting the synergistic effect with a shell and of enhancing the functions to adsorb and decompose the harmful materials. SOLUTION: The method for production of the porous fired body comprises preparing a formed body by mixing the fine powder of shells and titanium oxide with a clay as a binder, and firing the formed body at a temperature T of≥780°C but≤915°C. The crystal form of titanium oxide, by this method, retains its anatase type without changing to a rutile one, thus sufficiently exerting its photocatalyst-decomposition function.
