PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a time-proportional control unit in a control system having a long cycle time of a time-proportional output, capable of obtaining a control result of a good response characteristic by varying the time-proportional output with good traceability, even when an operation quantity MV of the control system greatly varies. SOLUTION: When a deviation between a control target value to a control object and a value indicating the state of the above control object is varied, in case that an on period of the time-proportional output according to a new deviation is longer than the on lapse period of the time-proportional output having been output before the varied time point of the above deviation in the present cycle time, a new time-proportional output covering the time corresponding to the difference between the above on period and the on lapse period is generated, triggered by the above varied time point of the deviation.
