PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat developable photosensitive material having a favorable image tone and excellent image preservability. SOLUTION: The heat developable photosensitive material has, on at least one surface of a support, an image forming layer containing at least a photosensitive silver halide, a non-photosensitive organic silver salt, a reducing agent and a binder and at least one non-photosensitive layer, wherein the heat developable photosensitive material contains solid fine particles of a dye that undergoes a change in light absorption maximum wavelength by at least 20 nm after heat development.
