PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a method for removing excess protein which disturbs the detection of a trace component when carrying out clinic proteome analysis. SOLUTION: The method and apparatus for separating a biocomponent comprises reducing the concentration of a specific protein to a concentration of≤10% compared to the case not using an affinity ligand and/or antibody against the specific protein from a blood-derived sample by using a separation system using a separation membrane having≥0.001 and≤0.5 sieving coefficient of a dextran having 60,000 molecular weight and≥3 permeation ratio of the dextran having 30,000 molecular weight to the dextran having 60,000 molecular weight and further using the affinity ligand and/or antibody against the specific protein having≥30,000 molecular weight. The solution obtained by the separation method and apparatus is used for protein analysis targeting the proteome analysis such as mass analysis, electrophoresis and liquid chromatography, and enables the high-sensitivity analysis.
