PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of partially sucking contaminated air to near an access opening in a vertical face by preventing a large amount of air from being sucked into the overall trash storage device. SOLUTION: In this trash charging/discharging device, a suction chamber 2 is formed at the rear of a charging opening 1 or a discharging opening 10. The suction chamber 2 is always brought into a sucking state so that, even when an access door is opened, fresh air is allowed to enter the suction chamber 2. Further, the opening of a check valve 7 is restricted so that air around the article of trash can be minimized even when the charging opening or the discharging opening is opened and the article of trash is discharged from or charged into the suction chamber.
