The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing a container for inflating a balloon, wherein the method comprises the following steps: i) forming a sleeve-like container from an aluminium sheet, ii) introducing an oil mixture into the container obtained in step i), iii) scavenging the container of step ii) with a scavenging gas, iv) mounting a valve to the container of step iii), and v) filling the container of step iv) to an operating pressure with a filling gas.
