PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an induction heating type image heating device capable of carrying out high speed heating of an image (high speed fixing) while being small-sized and has a short warming-up time and capable of preventing the temperature rise of an induction heating coil and capable of preventing slip of a fixing belt. SOLUTION: An image heating device A includes a rotating endless belt member 1 having a metallic layer, the induction heating coil 5 for heating the belt member, and a pressurizing member 4 brought into press-contact with the belt member, and conveys a recording material P having an image T carried thereon, by holding it in a nip part N between the belt member 1 and the pressurizing member 4 to heat the image by heat of the belt member. The belt member 1 is stretched and supported between at least two support members of a rotating roller 3 and a non-rotating belt guide member 2, and the induction heating coil 5 is disposed over the two support members 3 and 2 on the outside of the belt member 1.
