PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for specifically and rapidly detecting a carp herpes virus (KHV) in high sensitivity. SOLUTION: An oligonucleotide primer specifically hybridizing with an arbitrary base sequence designed from a base sequence derived from the carp herpes virus (KHV) is provided. The method for detecting the carp herpes virus (KHV) by detecting amplification of a nucleic acid is provided. The kit for detecting the carp herpes virus (KHV) is also provided.
