The present invention relates to use of ghrelin or an analogue thereof for the preparation of a medicament for one or more of: treatment and/or prevention of loss of body weight and body fat, prophylaxis or treatment of cachexia, stimulation of appetite, stimulation of fool intake, stimulation of weight gain, or increasing body fat mass, in a gastrectomized individual.
