PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent a reaping apparatus from thrust into a field. SOLUTION: In the combine harvester equipped with a reaping device 7 supported on a traveling machine body 1 so as to control rise and fall of the reaping device a reaping height sensor 21 for detecting the height of the reaping device from the ground, a rise and fall position sensor 22 for detecting the rise and fall position of the reaping device relatively to the traveling machine body and a controller 30 for controlling the rise and fall of the reaping device by a rise and fall device 18 based on the detected values of the reaping height sensor 21 and the rise and fall position sensor 22, the traveling machine body is equipped with an acceleration sensor 25 for detecting an acceleration when the traveling machine body is inclined in the longitudinal direction, a velocity sensor 26 for detecting an inclination speed when the traveling machine body is inclined in the longitudinal direction and an longitudinal inclination angle sensor 27 for detecting the longitudinal inclination angle of the traveling machine body to a horizontal standard level, the reaping device is controlled by the rise and fall device so as to control rise and fall of the reaping device based on the detected values of the reaping height sensor and the rise and fall position sensor by th control means as well as the detected values of the acceleration sensor, the velocity sensor and the longitudinal inclination angle sensor.
