NONWOVEN FABRICS AND LAMINATES MADE BY USING THE SAME

Nonwoven fabrics, preferably continuous filament nonwoven fabrics (such as meltbrown or spunbond ones), which are made of polyvinyl butyral fiber. Laminates can be produced via easy steps by laminating plural sheet materials through adhesive layers consisting of the nonwoven fabrics and heating the obtained intermediate product. Preferred embodiments are interior finishing materials produced by bonding an inorganic fiber layer, a foam layer, and a surfacing layer through the adhesive layers. The interior finishing materials are excellent in stiffness, sound absorbing qualities, and thermal deformation resistance, being useful for automobiles, railway vehicles, ships, and so on.
