<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image generating device for transmitting information necessary for display to a server device, and for receiving a character string list file from a server device, and for displaying the proper and latest character string. <P>SOLUTION: Information necessary for display is transmitted from image generation devices GA and GB to server devices SA and SB, and information necessary for display is transmitted from the server devices SA and SB to databases DBA to DBC for generating a proper character string list file LA or LB, and the character string list file generated by the databases is distributed via the server devices to the image generation devices.
