PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outer wall face material having a maintenance-free illuminating function without increasing equipment cost, complicating construction, and increasing running cost and a method of manufacturing the outer wall face material. SOLUTION: In this outer wall face material M formed by disposing a luminous material 1 formed in a prescribed shape integrally with a surface material body 2, the luminous material 1 is formed by corresponding it to the surface shape of the surface material body 2. For example, the surface of the surface material body 2 is formed in a wave shape, the luminous material 1 is formed in correspondence with the wave shape, the surface of the surface material body 2 is formed in a tile pattern, and the luminous material 1 is formed in a tile pattern. The luminous material 1 is disposed on the bottom face Fa of a mold, a concrete C is placed in the mold F and cured for a prescribed period, and then the concrete is released from the mold to manufacture the outer wall face material.
