PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal recording medium which has excellent color developing sensitivity and a high inhibitive effect to prevent a color developing sensitivity from deteriorating due to a self-adhesive, when the thermal recording medium is made into a thermal recording medium self-adhering sheet.

SOLUTION: In the thermal recording medium comprising a thermal recording layer containing a colorless or pale-color electron-donative leuco dye and an electron-receptive developer, formed on a support, the support comprises pulp treated by bringing a bubble generated by cavitation into contact with a pulp suspension.
