949,806. Transformers. R. F. C. JOSSERAND, and P. GUICHARD. Sept. 27, 1961 [Nov. 9, 1960], No. 34773/6l. Heading H1T. A magnetic core for three-phase transformers comprises six yoke members 22, 23, 24 (other three not shown) of laminated magnetic material forming, in two groups of three members, two equilateral triangles, and three limbs 31, 32, 33 of laminated magnetic material each connecting a separate one of the apices of one equilateral triangle to a separate one of the apices of the other equilateral triangle, the ends of the laminations of each yoke member interleaving with laminations of the respective limbs, which latter laminations at their region of interleaving lie in parallel planes with the ends of the yoke laminations. The members may be separated by thin plates 25, 26, 27 leaving recesses 28, 29, 30 and are clamped by members 35, 36, 37 supporting members 34, which may grip the windings, being arranged as shown. The limb laminations may be secured by rivets, insulated bolts or binding, in pockets 9, 10, 11 (Fig. 3) separated by shims 18, 19, 20, 21 to provide oil circulating channels and may be held together by binding or circling. |
