PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eject defective articles from a conveyor device without damaging the articles using a simple constitution. SOLUTION: An article ejecting device is equipped with a circulating device 1 with a chain 3 set over between rotors 2 rotating vertically, device bodies 8 each fitted with an ejecting rod 7 emerging on and retracting from the conveyor device 4 and installed at a constant spacing on the chain 8, guide rings attached to the rods 7, a pushout rail 14 arranged in inclination so as to abut to the guide ring in the straight moving portion on one side of the chain 3 and to push out the rods 7 toward the conveyor device 4, a sendout device to stop once each rod 7 in the standby position where the guide ring lies on the side with the circulating device 1 more than the upstream end 14a of the pushout rail 14 and move the guide rail at the time of ejection to the middle position on the side with the conveyor device 4 more than the upstream end 14a of the pushout rail 14, and a retraction rail 21 arranged in inclination so as to abut to the guide ring of the rod pushed out by the pushout rail 14 and return the rod 7 to the standby position by retracting toward the circulating device 1.
