PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable diaper preventing the side flap from tearing and the fastening tape from coming off from the side flap during wearing. SOLUTION: In the disposable diaper wherein the both longitudinal side edges of the back part of the diaper forms side flaps formed by the two sheets extending outward from the both side rims of the crotch, and the fastening tapes one end of which is fixed between the two sheets which form the side flaps and the other end of which extends outward further from the both ends of the side flap are located on the both side ends of the side flaps, at least the adhesive part in the adhesive area between the two sheets forming the side flaps where one end of the fastening tape is fixed is a strong adhesive area of 4-60 N/25 mm in a 180°peeling test at a speed of 200 mm/minute by a Tensilon tensile tester.
