<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powdered phosphor that can improve the visible light transmission of a phosphor-dispersed resin and the luminous efficiency of a white LED lamp, and to provide a method for producing the same and a lighting device. <P>SOLUTION: The powdered phosphor, that illuminates a visible light by being excited by a visible light and contains less than 2 mass% grains of not more than 20 μm grain diameter, is, for example, an Eu-activated calcium alpha-sialon and is produced by sintering a raw material powder of a phosphor, to prepare a powdered phosphor, and then by treating the powder chemically with an acid solution, and the light emitting device comprises the visible light-emitting semiconductor element and the powdered phosphor arranged so as to emit a fluorescence through being excited by the visible light emitted from the light-emitting semiconductor element. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
