PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for generating power by using carbons which generates electromotive force between two types of the carbons, by connecting two types of the carbons having different compositions, setting one carbon as a positive electrode and the other carbon as a negative electrode, and simultaneously heating them at the same temperature by a heat source of positive or negative centigrade degree. SOLUTION: In the method for generating power by using the carbons, two types of the carbons e.g. three bundles of PAN carbon fibers and one bundle of pitch carbon fiber are connected, PAN carbon fibers are set as the negative electrode, and the pitch carbon fiber is set as the positive electrode. If the two types of the carbons are heated simultaneously at a temperature of 78°C, an electromotive force of 0.65 mV is generated between positive and negative load connection terminals a1, b1. If the two types of the carbons are cooled simultaneously at 0°C, an electromotive force of -0.16 mV is generated between the positive and negative load connection terminals a1, b1; the two types of the carbons are cooled simultaneously at a temperature of -70°C, an electromotive force of -0.83 mV; and accordingly the phenomenon of generating power is obtained by using only carbons.
