PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that in an inkjet method recording device comprising a plurality of recording head modules which perform printing by using a line head, ink droplets grow on a nozzle surface when a partially accumulated ink discharging amount has exceeded a certain value, and there is a case in which normal recording characteristics cannot be maintained, and a cleaning (the wiping of the nozzle surface) is performed by a wiper blade by specified conditions, and therefore, the recording motion has to be interrupted during the cleaning. SOLUTION: A section for which recording data is lost for a specified period is estimated in advance for each recording head module, and the cleaning is performed by the unit of the recording head module.
