PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a honeycomb filter for reducing hazardous chemical substances causing a problem during manufacturing a honeycomb and using a filter, and excellent in water resistant strength during operation and appearance retention at wetting. SOLUTION: The honeycomb filter is obtained by using a sheet material formed of a hydrophobic component as a constituent material, and an aqueous adhesive having an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer or an ethylene-acrylic acid copolymer as a main skeleton and a specific composition with a characteristic of coating whitening time of 30 minutes or longer.
