PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet head which permits sufficient cleaning of the vicinities of the outlets of nozzle openings and the maintenance of high print quality.

SOLUTION: A nozzle plate 224 on which a row of nozzle openings made up of a plurality of nozzle openings 225 to discharge ink droplets and at least edges 242 adjacent to the row of nozzles of the nozzle plate 224 from among the edges of a nozzle plate protecting member 240 having a nozzle plate protection member 240 to cover and protect at least a part of the nozzle plate 224 are formed in such a manner as to gradually reduce the thickness of the members toward the row of nozzles.
