<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a negative lithographic printing forme original plate having a protective layer formed on a photosensitive layer, wherein sensitivity is excellent, it is easy to remove the protective layer, and concentration of the protective layer component is not caused in a developing solution or pre-rinsing solution, and problems such as contamination or clogging in pipes do not occur. <P>SOLUTION: The negative lithographic printing forme original plate comprises a photosensitive layer containing (A) an IR absorbent, (b) a radical initiator and (c) a radical polymerizable compound, and a protective layer containing a modified polyvinyl alcohol having a structural unit expressed by general formula (1) deposited in this order on a supporting body. In general formula (1), L represents a linking group with a valence of s+1; (A.M) represents an acid group or its salt, wherein M represents a hydrogen atom or an atom or an atomic group constituting a salt; r is 0 or 1; and s represents an integer of 1 to 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
