METHOD FOR PRODUCING HOLLOW POLYMER PARTICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel method for preparing hollow polymer particles and more particularly to provide a method for preparing hollow polymer microparticles by polymerizing polymerizable vesicles in the presence of a water-soluble polymerization initiator. SOLUTION: The method for preparing the hollow polymer particles comprises preparing polymerizable vesicles in an aqueous solution by using the three components: a cationic surfactant having a polymerizable group represented by formula (1), an anionic surfactant represented by formula (2), and a crosslinking agent represented by formula (3) in such amounts that the molar ratio of the cationic surfactant to the anionic surfactant is 3/7 to 7/3 and the molar ratio of the crosslinking agent is in the range of 1 to 5 when the total number of moles of the cationic surfactant and the anionic surfactant is 10 and polymerizing the polymerizable vesicles in the presence of a water-soluble polymerization initiator.
