PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and surely extract an image of a specified subject. SOLUTION: An imaging device 111 for outputting an image data comprising a picture element value substantially proportional to a logarithm of incident luminous energy picks up the image of the prescribed subject irradiated with illumination by a lighting system 112, and the image thereof not irradiated. A threshold value determination part 125 determines a threshold value for classifying a difference value between the picture element values in the image of the subject, and a difference value between the picture element values in the image other than the subject, based on a distribution of difference values in a difference data provided from the difference between the image data irradiated with the illumination and the image data not irradiated. An image extraction part 126 extracts the image of the subject, based on the threshold value.
