PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motion controller capable of automatically calculating a communication cycle to a servo controller to allow the motion controller to perform communication processing within a designated processing load, and performing the communication with the servo controller at an instructed cycle. SOLUTION: This motion controller comprises a priority parameter 9 for setting priority of communication cycle, a communication processing permitted load factor parameter 3 for setting a rate of use limit of a CPU in the communication processing with the servo controller 12, and a processing load analyzing portion 10 for setting the communication cycle to keep the load factor of the communication processing between the servo controller 12 and the motion controller 20 to be a value of a communication processing permitted load factor 3 or less, in reference to the priority parameter 9 and the communication processing permitted load factor parameter 3.
