PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a white balance controller for reproducing the white balance of a picked-up image without the sense of incongruity. SOLUTION: Whether white balance is appropriate is determined on the basis of magnitude relations among an R signal, a G signal and a B signal, and when it is determined that the white balance is shifted, the present color temperature is changed, and a white balance gain is acquired from a white balance gain curve stored in a storing means to adjust the white balance.
