PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separator for a fuel cell and the fuel cell which is outstanding in conductivity, moldability for forming a flow path, corrosion resistance, weight reduction and output stability after a passage of time. SOLUTION: The separator for the fuel cell contains calcination material obtained by calcination at a temperature of 800°C or more of a mixture of high molecular macromolecules producing difficultly-graphitized carbon and easily-graphitized carbon under an inert atmosphere.
