<p>A wiper arm comprises a lower rod (1) connected to a motor drive (2), and an upper rod (3) which carries a holding linkage (4) with wiper blade. The adjacent ends of the rods (1,3) are held in a connecting member (5) which is fixed to the end of the lower rod (1) and movably holds the end of the upper rod. The connecting member transmits the movement of the lower rod to the upper rod, imposing a first movement on the wiper blade, and has a drive unit (7) which simultaneously imposes on the upper rod an independent forward-and-back second movement. An independent claim is included for a method of moving a windscreen wiper.</p> |
