PURPOSE: Provided are a plant sterol-containing food and a method for preparing the same. The plant sterol-containing food contains nanometer sized plant sterol, and thus reduces the absorption of cholesterol. CONSTITUTION: The method for manufacturing the plant sterol-containing food comprises the steps of: heating the mixture of emulsifier and plant sterol at 60-200 deg.C and melting it; mixing the melted mixture with water; agitating the mixture at a high speed to disperse the sterol into water; and adding the dispersion to the food base. |
