The connection to give a recirculation of a fluid feed (6) from a gas supply at a fireproof unit, in contact with molten steel, has a wall with a cylindrical recess (5a, 5b) and a joint (14) to fit into it. A prop (13) compresses the joint to the exterior of the recess. A second prop (9b), inserted into the recess, holds the joint as a sandwich between it and the first prop. The joint is of an elastic fireproof material, e.g. graphite. A spacer disk (15), of a fireproof material or steel, is at the joint towards the first prop. An anchor (9a) pulls the two props together, to compress the joint between them as a sealed connection. |
